Badminton
Over the last few years, badminton has significantly increased in popularity and is now offered to all year groups, welcoming both beginners and experienced players
Badminton primarily takes place in the School’s Douglas Bader Sports Hall which has four courts. There are mixed, girls’ and boys’ teams at both senior and junior levels and fixtures against other schools are played throughout the term. Our junior teams have achieved success in the Sports Magazine National Schools competition, with teams making it to the third round for last two years.
THE BADMINTON PROGRAMME AT TEDDIES
- Three to four hours of weekly coaching
- A weekly Junior Club night
- A weekly Senior Club night
- An annual trip to Yonex All England Tournament
- OSE matches
- An annual Racketlon Competition is hosted at St Edward’s (a multi-racket sport event that incorporates badminton)
- Entry into National Schools Junior Competition
