The School outfitter is Stevensons. Stevensons offer purchase through the internet as well as a name-taping service.
niform lists for the Lower School and Sixth Form may be found at the bottom of the page. Uniform should be clean and smart at all times and shoes must be polished. For girls, ballet style pumps or high-heeled shoes may not be worn as part of school uniform.
Pupils will change into the appropriate regulation games clothing when participating in sporting activities. For indoor activities in the Sports Hall, black soled shoes or bare feet are not permitted.
At weekends and after the completion of lesson times, informal dress may be worn.
Purchase and Renewal of School Clothing
All school uniform must be purchased from Stevensons.
During term time, pupils may obtain orders from their Housemistress or Housemaster for the replacement of urgently needed clothing items. Purchases may be made from Stevensons and charged to the pupil’s fees account at the end of term.
Marking of Clothing
All articles must be clearly marked with the owner’s name and initials. Woven name tapes should be used. Three dozen spare tapes should be given to the House Matron.
All games kit must be clearly marked with the name tape on the inside of the collar or waistband.
All name tapes are available from Stevensons.
Please provide a knife, fork, spoon, mugs, bowl and plate for use in House; these should be named.
Bottom sheets, pillows and pillow cases will be provided. Please provide a duvet with two covers, all named.
Please do not send items that need hand washing or special treatments. Pupils are strongly discouraged from bringing expensive `designer’ garments.
The School has arranged for Opro, a highly recommended organisation who specialise in the provision of sports mouthguards, to visit the School to take impressions of those children wanting custom fitting mouthguards. For more details on mouthguards, please contact Eve Singfield.
Please be aware that due to the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19 and the government guidelines surrounding the fitting and sale of clothing and the safety of pupils and staff, the Clothing Exchange is currently partially open by appointment only. The situation is under review as parents will be notified should circumstances change. The Exchange is run by the Friends’ Committee and details can be found here.
The Drama wardrobe is always happy to receive donations from parents. It is heavily-used throughout the year with numerous House and year-group plays. Uses can always be found for ladies’ and men’s shoes or boots, costume jewellery and items of uniform. Bow ties, braces, waistcoats and shirts are particularly useful.
If you would like to make a donation, please attach a label marked ‘Drama Wardrobe Donation’ and then leave the clothes with your son or daughter’s House Matron.
