Peter Trelawny-Vernon (Sing’s, 1976-1981)
The following was provided by Peter’s brother, William Vernon (Sing’s, 1978-1983).
Peter died on the 27th July 2022 after battling a long illness (Parkinson’s).
Our father JJV was MCR (1955-72) and our elder brother (Michael) was also in Sing’s 1974-79.
After Teddies, Peter became a Lloyds Broker and forged a successful career in the City until ill health caused him to take early retirement in 2010.
His great passion was sailing which he continued to be able to do on the Beaulieu River until 2017. He was, for a while, the Cruising Captain of the Royal Southampton Yacht Club.
He married Patricia Nicol in 1988 and they had two daughters (Katie and Pippy) all of whom survive him. In time they divorced. Peter moved from Hampshire to Wiltshire where he met Sarah Hodgson and they married earlier this year.
