Died September 2021.
The following note was sent to the Warden by Esmond’s son, Jonathon Worraker.
Dear Mr Chirnside,
Many thanks for your birthday card from St Edward’s that was sent to my father’s home in April. I know he would have gratefully appreciated it and had discussed with me his pleasure of receiving St Edward’s birthday greetings in previous years.
Unfortunately, my father died in September 2021 after a short illness. He achieved a great deal of recognition in his career in the UK as a leading apple technical consultant and maintained a very keen interest in sailing as a hobby.
Although 92 when he died, he was still living independently at his own home in Kent. He is survived by 2 sons and 2 granddaughters.
