Rowing Coaches

Closing Date:

St Edward’s Oxford is looking for experienced and well-qualified Rowing Coaches to play a key role within our thriving Boat Club.

You will deliver first-rate rowing coaching to students from across all year groups, helping our students to develop their skills and proficiency in the sport. You will deliver your coaching during scheduled sessions on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (additional days may be available).

We have a long-established national reputation for rowing, and a thriving Boat Club: approximately 100 boys and 50 girls row and scull from J14 upwards. Pupils in School crews compete at numerous heads and regattas throughout the year, including the Schools’ Head and National Schools Regatta.

You will be a well-organised, inspiring and enthusiastic individual, with a British Rowing coaching qualification and registration, as well as a Level 2 Rowing Coach qualification or a willingness to acquire this as soon as possible. The holding of a full D1 UK driving licence and trailer towing qualification is desirable but not essential. Previous experience of both sculling and sweeping oared boats is essential.

This is a casual position. The number of working hours will vary and will be agreed between you and the Head of Rowing. You may be asked to work additional hours at external events, such as regattas.
