Chemistry Lab Technician
We are seeking a well organised individual with the ability to work well as part of a team to play a key role in the Chemistry Department.
Previous laboratory experience is not essential, but you will need a Chemistry / Science (Double Award), Maths, English Language GCSE (or equivalent) to be considered.
As Chemistry Technician you will contribute to the efficient and safe running of the department and will work with the Senior Technician to prepare practical experiments for pupils during lessons.
You will play an important role in supporting teachers to deliver many practical opportunities for the pupils as well as preparing demonstrations. This will include the preparation of chemicals / solutions, assembling, clearing away, cleaning and storing apparatus and keeping laboratories tidy and disposing of any waste chemicals as well as ordering new equipment and chemicals.
You will need the ability to prioritise and manage changing workloads and situations and to work flexibly to meet the demands of the position.
