School-Centred Initial Teacher Training

School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) is a government-backed scheme that enables graduates to train primarily in schools to qualify as teachers.  Generous government grants are available for trainees (see here).

Click the link below to read more about the opportunities we provide for Modern Foreign Languages graduates to undertake their teacher training here at St Edward’s.

We run Taster Days throughout the year for potential candidates; come along to find out more about the SCITT programme and our hub. There will be the opportunity to meet with hub leaders and mentors and to observe part of a lesson.

The next Taster Day will be on 25 March. Click here to register.

For more information about SCITT at St Edward’s and the next Taster Day, please contact Marie-Laure Delvallée, Director of SCITT.
