The following obituary was kindly provided by Hugh’s son, Ned.
My Father Hugh Gould passed away on the 18th December 2024 aged 88. He enjoyed his time at St Edwards where, from what I understand, he spent most of his time on the sports field, solidifying his lifelong passion for rugby. He travelled to school on the train from Devon where he recalled his tuck box was stored in the guards van for safe keeping. He told me that one of his favourite snacks during term time was cold baked beans straight from the tin! He enjoyed keeping up with news of Teddies, keenly reading the newsletter and, until recently, attending the South West Group OSE lunches. A celebration of the life of Hugh will be held at St John’s Lustleigh on the 21st February 2025 at 2 p.m.
