Outstanding Music Results
Our Director of Music at St Edward’s, Alex Tester, has reported outstanding results from music and LAMDA exams last term.
Twenty-five pupils took exams with ABRSM or Trinity and 90% gained merits and distinctions.
A special mention goes to Upper Sixth Former Toby Wright, who received a merit in Grade 8 organ, a distinction in Grade 5 singing and a pass in grade 8 piano – all in the same two days.
Nine pupils were awarded grade 8, which was a real achievement, particularly around the School musical and all the Christmas festivities.
The Autumn Term is not traditionally a time where St Edward’s enters a large numbers of LAMDA pupils, but these results were similarly excellent, with three Grade 8 exams in Acting or Public Speaking, and all results achieving merits or distinctions. Well done to all pupils who were examined.
