Kendall and Sing’s Superstars 2017

The hugely entertaining Kendall v Sing’s Superstars event for 2017 was every bit the entertaining and eclectic mix of events that it has consistently proved to be.

The notion of “Superstars” may, for many, draw memories of Andy Ripley, Brian Jacks and Kevin Keegan competing against each other in the hugely successful 70s TV series. In our edition, the annual competition for bragging rights sees teams drawn from Kendall and Sing’s who then compete against each other across ten, somewhat unconventional, events.

Each team of seven, made up of at least two Shells and two Fourth Form, must put forward each member of their team for at least two events, although each team member can also compete in as many events as they wish to. 

The events competed in were: a sprint race, middle-distance race, squat thrusts, dips, football penalties, rugby conversions, golf chip shots, cricket bowling, rowing ergs, cycling.

Many of the boys were joined by their parents and siblings, with the added bonus of a hog roast at the Martyrs Pavilion for lunch on top of the excellent competition on show. A gallery of photos from the day are available here.
