Tennis Update

The senior boys travelled to Pangbourne on Saturday aiming to finish what has been a hugely successful term on a high — and became the first unbeaten 1st VI since 1979! Very well done to them. Due to numbers, they played teams of two pairs, each playing two sets against both pairs of the opposition; both teams were able to win all their sets. The 1VI have beaten tough opposition this term which is testament to their hard work at training.

The U14 and U15 girls’ tennis teams took on Tudor Hall in their final fixtures of the term on Saturday. The 15As led from the front and went into the final round of matches having already secured the win, eventually winning 7-2. The 15Bs had a much closer fixture which came down to the final match of the 1st pairs, with Daisy Chancellor and Livia Tomacelli winning a very close match to secure the 5-4 win. The 15Cs had a very tough fixture but fought well, losing 7-2.

All three U14 teams showed how much they have progressed over the term through their hard work. The As lost 7-2 but with some very close matches that could have gone either way. The Bs had a great fixture, winning 5-4, with Allana McCrum and Amber Walkinshaw winning all three of their matches. The Cs had a very strong fixture winning 6-0.
