LAMDA examination success

The results of the recent LAMDA examinations have just been received and St Edward’s pupils achieved excellent marks.

A variety of examinations including Acting Solo, Acting Duologue, Speaking in Public, Reading for Performance and Musical Theatre were taken by 63 pupils. The examinations covered a variety of levels from grade 4 to grade 8; all the pupils passed with 21 pupils achieving a distinction and 40 passing with merit. An impressive statistic  is that half of the exams taken were at the highest levels of grades 7 and 8 and half of these achieved a distinction – a reflection of the rich seam of talent running through the school and the excellent level of teaching provided by our four visiting teachers.
