U14s County Champions!

The U14A team played with distinction in the County Tournament today.  A 4-0 win against Bloxham was followed by a 2-0 victory against Cokethorpe with some very impressive high-tempo attacking.  Teddies then defended resolutely against Headington as well as attacking again with real pace; the game ended in a 0-0 draw thanks to some decisive goal keeping from Ruby.  Teddies then beat Oxford High 4-0 before facing the last game against Tudor Hall, knowing that a victory by two goals or more would secure the County Tournament win.

From the first whistle, Teddies showed real determination and attacking flair to put the Tudor Hall defence under a lot of pressure.  With eight minutes to go, Lila scored the first goal; Teddies continued to push for the crucial second goal.  There were two minutes left on the clock when Anna swept home a penalty corner to much celebration as Teddies finished the first half of term as County Champions.  The U14A team will go on to represent Oxfordshire in the Regional Tournament in November.  Well done to all of the girls for their excellent performance.
