Jubilations cabaret evening a lively triumph

On Saturday 22nd January, Jubilee held its fourth annual house production: Jubilations. The cabaret event raised hundreds of pounds for the school charity, SuchHope. Cookbooks from last year’s Warden’s Project winner, Reha Soni, were also sold at the event in aid of a charity called Contact the Elderly.

Family and friends got an amazing opportunity to witness the girls’ unique talents on stage. The event was produced by the girls themselves with the help of Mr Damiani, who provided piano accompaniment, and Lisa Elkins, who choreographed most of the dance performances. The acts ranged from singing and dancing to film-making and lip-synching. The highlights of the evening were the ‘Harry Potter Medley’ performed by members of the Lower Sixth, the Shell Dance to 24K Magic by Bruno Mars, and a touching solo by Selena Thompson.

The event was hosted by Vera Gorlacheva and Jane Lai, a memorable duo who also hosted the first ever Jubilations. Their jokes and wit in between performances kept the audience entertained throughout the evening.

Special thanks must go to the tech team, led by Will Webb and Oliver Ferneyhough, the catering department who helped create a joyful atmosphere, and all the parents for donating generously to the two worthy causes.
