Women’s Henley Regatta

The senior girls’ coxed four raced extremely well at Women’s Henley on Saturday. They comfortably qualified from the time trial in eighth place with 16 qualifying and then delivered a strong performance in the second round to beat Haberdashers’ Monmouth. In the quarter finals they raced with great determination against a very good crew from Emanuel School who themselves eventually went on to lose in the final. Slightly outgunned during the first few hundred metres they fought hard down the rest of the course to lose by a couple of lengths. The majority of the crew will now go on to attempt to qualify in the quad for Henley Royal Regatta this Friday.

The crew of Siobhan Mottram, Tilly Catlin, Ashlyn Dickinson and Kirsten Pearce are pictured at the National Schools’ Regatta. At Henley, they were coxed by Eleanor Lowther.
