The girls’ teams travelled to Bradfield on Saturday looking to finish the term on a high; for some of the senior players this was to be their last representative match for the School.

The 1st team played indoors and were level going into the final round 3 apiece; the 2nd and 3rd pairs finished strongly to record a 5-4 victory over a strong Bradfield 1st VI. The 2nds faced very tough opposition and despite Emily Potter and Georgia Boardman winning their 3 matches, we lost 5-4. Our 3rds and 4ths both won convincingly 9-0 and 7-2 respectively.

Harriet Harries-Jones and Kyla Haslett-Hawkins led the 15As from the front, winning all three matches to finish with a 6-3 victory. Poppy Webb and Antonia Lewis also won all three of their matches for the Bs, winning 7-2, while Selena Thompson and Lettie Neame won all three of their matches for a second week in a row enabling the Cs to win 7-2.

The Shells have worked hard all term and are showing big improvements every week; they faced tough Bradfield teams losing 7-2, 5-4, 5-4 and 3-1.

The boys played at home but had new teams owing to exams. Despite new pairings, the 1sts continued their great run of wins, recording a 5-4 victory with Gregg Kratt and George Doxiadis winning all three of their matches. Our 3rds played their 2nds and despite a valiant effort lost 9-0; the 16 A&Bs both lost 9-0 despite fighting hard and almost winning several sets.
