Tennis Update

The boys played Abingdon on Saturday with the 1st team looking to continue the success of their previous two fixtures. Going into the final round of matches it was tight at 3 apiece; Ed Beccle and Henry Bray held their nerve to win the final set and the team claimed their 3rd victory 5-4. Unfortunately the 2nd and 3rd team faced tough opposition and were unable to repeat the 1st’s success losing 2-7 & 0-9 respectively.

The 16As were looking to change their fortunes after a tough loss to Winchester. In another close fixture, we needed just one point going into the final round of matches to secure victory, with our pairs of Alexander Martin-Lof/Gong Limsong and Basil Zirinis/Omar Elgendy winning their matches to secure a 6-3 victory. The 16Bs couldn’t match the As losing 0-9 to a very tough Abingdon side.
