Visit to Sandhurst

Nick Coram-Wright, Contingent Commander, writes: A group of 17 CCF cadets were fortunate to be able to attend the Commandant’s Rehearsal of the Sovereign’s Parade at Sandhurst. On arrival we joined members of University OTCs from around the country for an introduction to officer training at RMAS. Drill of the highest standard was very much the order of the day during the rehearsal that followed on the square in front of Old College. During the afternoon we were given a guided tour of the College by Officer Cadet Georgia McCardy OSE — now two thirds of the way through her own training. We were grateful to Georgia for giving up her afternoon after such a gruelling morning on parade and also to Colonel Bazeley for his invitation. Col Bazeley will be our Inspecting Officer on April 29.
