Climbing to Success

On Friday 27th November the climbing team entered their first competition of the season (possibly the first ever in the history of the School?!) at Big Rock in Milton Keynes. Competitors faced a series of roped climbs and then some tricky boulder problems.

The team competed well with notable performances from Arthur Churchill and Will Webb coming 10th and 11th in the Youth A category – not bad as novices – and Oli Ferneyhough taking 2nd in Youth B in a large field of 19.

It was definitely a valuable learning experience in a competitive environment, and now the team are better placed to train for the Independent Schools Competition in March.
