Climbing to Success

On Friday 27^th November the climbing team entered their first competition of the season (possibly the first ever in the history of the School?!) at Big Rock in Milton Keynes. Competitors faced a series of roped climbs and then some tricky boulder problems.

The team competed well with notable performances from Arthur Churchill and Will Webb coming 10th and 11th in the Youth A category – not bad as novices – and Oli Ferneyhough taking 2nd in Youth B in a large field of 19.

It was definitely a valuable learning experience in a competitive environment, and now the team are better placed to train for the Independent Schools Competition in March.
